Bella Vista Hill, located 16 kilometers (10 miles) from the city of Bariloche, is found between Cathedral Hill and Goye. The hike begins at Tambo Baez, using the same trail towards Jakob Refuge (pertaining to the Trail System of Huella Andina) and after a 20-minute walk, we will divert ourselves towards Cerro Bella Vista trail. Most of the trail consists of a constant incline which can be physically demanding. The trail cuts through a beech forest and, depending on the time of year, we can enjoy the blossoming of Amancay until arriving at the summit. In said place, we will take some time to rest, take pictures, and recuperate energy for a delicious picnic, before attacking the summit. From there, we will continue through the ridge of the summit for 40 minutes, leaving behind the last stocky beech trees until our final destination.
OPTIONAL TRIP TO GOYE
From the summit we can connect following a ridge to the summit of Cerro Goye to later descend to Colonia Suiza, where we can enjoy a rich artisanal beer.
