MEET OUR TEAM

Our team is formed by two professionals with more than 20 years of experience in hospitality and the many activities in the mountains.
Patagonia Mountain Life was born with the aim to show Patagonia in its true form to all those lovers of nature in Patagonia.
We love the mountains and the lifestyle that the Patagonia teaches us day after day.
This is why we decided to pour our ideas and experience in a project where we can advise our visitors to bring them the best opportunities and to meet their needs in their journey.

Mission and philosophy

Our mission is to enable you to discover the Patagonia with its grand views, its scents and colors in all four seasons and the sounds of nature through our trails or conquering a mountain's summit.
We strive to offer you a warm and customized service, engaging with our clients in each and every moment of their journey and experience, trying to share our passion for the mountains and the natural environment.

GABRIEL HONDA

Mountain guide & Ski instructor

I was born in Buenos Aires where grew passionate about traveling and the mountains. This motivated me from a young age to explore the Andes Mountain Range and almost all of Latin America, through treks, trips, climbs and expeditions to discover new places and challenges.

I received the qualification of a High Mountain Guide in the Province School of High Mountain Guides and Trekking (EPGAMT). I begun working on the Los Glaciares National Park (El Chaltén – Santa Cruz). After that, I worked in the Aconcagua Province Park (Mendoza), Lanín National Park (Neuquén) and Nahuel Huapi National Park (Río Negro), among other places.
My personal favorite mountains that I climbed for sport were in Perú (- Alpamayo - Chopicalqui - Quitaraju - Tocllaraju - Artesonraju, etc.), Bolivia (Pequeño Alpamayo - Huayna Potosì -Sajama Volcano), Argentina (Aconcagua - Cerro Plata - Vallecitos - Rincon – Maipo Volcano – Lanin Volcano - Tronador) and Chile (Cerro Mirador – Pantojo - Puyehue Volcano - Torres del Paine).

During the winter season, I am a skiing instructor (ISES – AADIDES) and I have worked in Cerro Catedral since 2007.

In my free time, I enjoy backcountry skiing around the Argentinian and Chilean Patagonia. I also enjoy skiing and going out with my kids as a family.

NANCY KITAYAMA

Technician in Hotel Business Administration – General Coordination.

I was in born in Buenos Aires. I am a lover of gastronomy and tourism. This has lead me to study Hotel Business and to dedicate myself to hospitality.

I had the chance to experience some Internships in hotels in the USA – Hilton Head; Japan – Mie and Argentina – Las Leñas and Calafate. These experiences, added to others in the area of tourism, have made me a professional with a wide knowledge in the field of service and hospitality.

However, my challenge begin when my partner and I decided to move to the Patagonia and we chose Bariloche, which is best destination in all of Patagonia. This charming city gave us the lifestyle we were seeking, free moments of trekking, lakes, walks, skiing / snowboarding, peace and some adrenaline, too.

In my free time, I enjoy going out hiking and skiing with my family, travelling and cooking.
